Oye Akinsulire holds BSc (Hons.) in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye after graduating from Yaba College of Technology. Additionally, he holds MSc in Accounting from the University of Lagos (Unilag) as well as Ph.D in Accounting from Babcock University, llishan-Remo, Ogun State. 

Oye is a pioneer member of this Association ( YCTACC’86) and served as its first Treasurer till 2021 when he was elected as the President.

Chief Akinsulire is a Fellow of    – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN);   – The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and   – The Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (NIM).

He had extensive banking experience at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc and First Bank of Nigeria Plc before retiring into private business. He is the Managing Consultant of Oye Akinsulire & Associates (Financial Management, Taxation and Management Consultants).

Oye is a member of the governing Council of ICAN since 2013 till date and had the rare priviledge of serving as the Institute’s Honorary Treasurer for three consecutive terms (2017-2020).

He chaired the planning of the 51st Annual Accountants’ Conference that was adjudged to be the best so far in ICAN. The conference had the highest delegates in attendance, generated the highest revenue and the most well organised so far – Body of Past Presidents.

At the home front, Oye was the National Chairman of Ekimogun Day Planning Committee from 1997 to 1999. He was bestowed with the Liiken-Yemoja of Iyemoja chieftaincy title of Ondo_ in Ondo State in 1998 for his excellent planning of the 1997 Ekimogun Day which was the tenth edition and also dedicated to the immediate past *Osemawe of Ondo – Oba Festus Ibidapo Adedinsewo Adesanoye CFR,* _Osungbedelola II. In 1999, Oye was installed as the Ogbodu of Okesare , Ondo in Ondo State for his contributions to Ondo Kingdom.

An untribalised person, Oye’s penchant for excellence was recognised in far away Abia State where he was given the Chieftaincy title of IDE 1 of Umudike in Umuahia in December 2017 for his contribution to Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike .

He was the representative of ICAN in the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) from 2014 to 2018 and served in APBN creditably as:

– The Financial Secretary (2014-2016)

– The Treasurer (2016-2018).

Oye is an author, publisher and a Lecturer of repute. His name is associated with Financial Management subject and text nationwide.
